The temperature transitions in the blends of cyclolinear polyorganosil
oxanes of various structures and poly(dimethylsiloxane)s with various
molecular masses were studied by DSC and optical polarizing microscopy
. It was established that the type of cyclolinear polyorganosiloxane a
nd the length of poly(dimethylsiloxane) chain affect the compatibility
of the components in the blends. The formation of the mesophase in cy
clolinear polyorganosiloxane depends on the molecular mass and the con
tent of poly(dimethylsiloxane) in the blend. The phase state of the st
udied blends at room temperature is described.
