Abstract
New aromatic polyethers bearing alpha-diketone groups in the backbone chains were prepared by the reactions of new difluoroaromatic compound s containing these groups with various bisphenolates under the conditi ons of aromatic nucleophilic polysubstitution. It was shown that highl y viscous polymers are obtained when polycondensation is carried out i n a medium of sulfolane.
