Abstract
This paper discusses the results of studies of the spectrophotometric characteristics of radiation from the earth-atmosphere system in the 2 -5.5-mu m range, obtained in space experiments from piloted orbital st ations Salyut-4 and Salyut-6 with the MFS-1 Fourier spectrometer. A br ief description of the apparatus is given, and the main results of the experiments are analyzed. Examples of the spectra of the main types o f earth surface, water, and tropospheric and mesospheric clouds are pr esented, along with data on the characteristics of the radiation of th e moon in the 2-4-mu m spectral region.
