Abstract
Affective and calculative commitment have been associated with distinc t work outcomes; however, little research has been directed toward und erstanding how these dimensions of organizational commitment are embed ded within a larger web of work-related attitudes and perceptions. In the present study, higher levels of calculative commitment in a sample of adults in New Zealand and Ireland were associated with lower perce ived organizational support, lower agreement with organizational polic ies, fewer perceived organizational values, and fewer bonds to various facets of the organization. This pattern of findings was reversed for level of affective commitment.
