Abstract
Ultrafast spatio-temporal effects in optically excited semiconductors are investigated by solving the coupled semiconductor Maxwell-Bloch eq uations which include tile relevant relaxation phenomena. The analysis is used to describe transport of electronic excitations on nano-to mi crometer scales with a dynamic range on the femto- to picosecond time scale.
