Z. Achourboudjema et al., VARIATION IN ENTHALPY OF THE SYSTEM N-TETRACOSANE-N-HEXACOSANE AS FUNCTIONS OF TEMPERATURE AND COMPOSITION, Journal of thermal analysis, 50(4), 1997, pp. 685-704
Differential enthalpy analyses were performed on the binary n-alkane s
ystem n-C24H50-n-C26H54 With a Setaram DSC111 calorimeter of Tian Calv
et type. The measurements provided enthalpy data from 260 to 260 K on
n-tetracosane, n-hexacosane and 19 binary mixtures. An analytical expr
ession, derived from the Einstein model, is proposed for every pure ph
ase in its temperature domain, to represent the variation in the entha
lpy with temperature. A general expression for the enthalpy as a funct
ion of temperature and composition is also given.
