Abstract
The reaction of thioamides 8 with 2-acetamido-3-chloro-1,4-naphthoquin one 3 in ethanol under refluxing condition gave naphth[2,3-d]imidazole -4,9-diones 10. The reaction of thiosemicarbazide derivatives le with 3 under similar conditions gave naphtho[2,3-e]-1,2,4-triazine-5,10-dio nes 14.
