Abstract
We report on an improved HPLC method to purify erythrocyte cholesterol for use in measuring in vivo cholesterol synthesis from (H2O)-H-2. Th e new procedure uses a smaller compression cartridge column at a flow rate of 3 mL/min. The new method reduces by almost tenfold the amount of solvent required to maintain the analytical purity of the isolated cholesterol.
