A. Mestari et al., BEHAVIOR OF THE CALIBRATION OF A RAMAN SPECTROMETER WITH TEMPERATURE-CHANGES, Journal of Raman spectroscopy, 28(10), 1997, pp. 785-789
In connection with indirect Raman difference spectroscopy, a method wh
ich has been suggested for measuring Raman wavenumber shifts between t
wo different samples with a multi-channel spectrometer, the behaviour
of the calibration of the spectrometer with temperature changes was st
udied. The aim of this work was to determine the experimental conditio
ns which must be respected when using a spectral lamp as a calibration
reference to take into account the possible calibration drift due to
temperature changes during the recordings. The effects of temperature
oscillations about a constant value and also a long-lasting temperatur
e change were measured for each operating mode of the dispersing syste
m of the spectrometer. The extent to which a calibration shift due to
a temperature change may be considered as constant from one end of the
spectral field of the detector of the spectrometer to the other was a
lso investigated. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
