Dh. Jackson et al., A SIMPLE MICROWAVE-INDUCED ACOUSTIC LIQUID ANALYSIS SYSTEM, The Journal of microwave power and electromagnetic energy, 32(3), 1997, pp. 155-160
The experimental setup proposed is a simple 2.45 GHz microwave induced
acoustic system for rapid detection of contaminants within a liquid.
The use of moderate power microwave radiation for longer excitation is
illustrated as an alternative to high power short duration systems th
at have been previously described. Results for water/alcohol mixtures
are presented, illustrating a measurement resolution of better than 10
% with minimal signal processing and display requirements.
