Abstract
The separation of different metal vapors when Bowing through the porou s graphite partition placed in electrothermal atomizer has been studie d. At high temperatures the porous graphite partition works as a chrom atographic column. The separation efficiency depends on the temperatur e of the furnace column and on the carrier gas flow through the partit ion. The possibility of the total separation of the elements Ag, Pb, Z n and Cd from the elements Mn, Cu, Fe and Ni has been demonstrated. (C ) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
