R. Kalahne et al., COMPARISON OF AAS WITH HYDRIDE CONCENTRATION IN A GRAPHITE-FURNACE WITH OTHER SPECTROMETRIC TECHNIQUES, Spectrochimica acta, Part B: Atomic spectroscopy, 52(9-10), 1997, pp. 1509-1516
The common method for the determination of arsenic and antimony is bas
ed on hydride generation, which in turn can be determined by various d
etection techniques. Preconcentration of the hydrides in a graphite fu
rnace with subsequent atomization and detection in the absorption mode
has been compared with direct atomization of the hydrides in the quar
tz tube as well as with inductively coupled plasma atomization and exc
itation in the emission mode. Detection limits, possibility of mutual
interferences and multielement capability were compared for these tech
niques. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
