Abstract
The suppression of turbulence by the EXB shear is studied in systems w ith quasisymmetry using the nonlinear analysis of eddy decorrelation p reviously utilized in finite aspect ratio tokamak plasmas [Phys. Plasm as 2, 1648 (1995)]. The analytically derived EXB shearing rate which c ontains the relevant geometric dependence can be used for quantitative assessment of the fluctuation suppression in stellarators with quasis ymmetry.
