Abstract
We investigate the heating effects on the current-voltage (I-V) charac teristics of the Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox intrinsic Josephson junctions. Reducing the Joule heat by the pulse technique, voltages are found significant ly larger than in the conventional DC technique. The result suggests t hat anomalies in DC measurements, such as very small characteristic vo ltage and back-bending I-V curves, are closely related to heating. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
