Abstract
DNA chip is a revolutionary technology dedicated to large scale study of complex DNA or RNA samples. This review presents the physical princ iples of these devices and the technical solutions developed by the ma in industrial actors of the field. We describe also some applications of the DNA chips: search for mutations in genetic diseases, quantifica tion of gene expression,sequencing by hybridization and development of new therapeutic drugs.
