The system Zn0.6Co0.4FexCr2-xO0.4 (0.8 less than or equal to x less th
an or equal to 1.1) has been investigated for its crystallographic, el
ectrical and magnetic behaviour. All the samples are found to be p-typ
e semi conductors from electrical measurements. From hysteresis loops,
it is found that the samples are ferrimagnets. The high values of H-c
and J(R)/J(S) at low temperatures, as well as the nature of chi(ac) -
T curves indicate single domain behaviour in which magnetic crystalli
ne anisotropy dominates.
