Jn. Wang et al., SWERTIFRANCHESIDE, AN HIV REVERSE-TRANSCRIPTASE INHIBITOR AND THE FIRST FLAVONE-XANTHONE DIMER, FROM SWERTIA-FRANCHETIANA, Journal of natural products, 57(2), 1994, pp. 211-217
The first flavone-xanthone C-glucoside, swertifrancheside, was isolate
d from Suertia franchetiana, and its structure was elucidated on the b
asis of spectroscopic analysis as -beta-D-glucopyranosyl-4'-oxy-8'-fla
vyl)-xanthone. This compound was a moderately potent inhibitor of HIV
reverse transcriptase.
