If. Almomani, DETERMINATION OF NABUMETONE AND ITS MAJOR METABOLITE IN PLASMA AND TABLET FORMULATIONS BY REVERSE-PHASE HPLC, Analytical letters, 30(14), 1997, pp. 2485-2492
A high performance liquid chromatographic procedure is presented for t
he determination of nabumetone in pharmaceutical tablets and in plasma
. An aliquot of the sample is dissolved in 50% acetonitrile (ACN) cont
aining 4-methoxyacetophenone as an internal standard and chromatograph
ed on a Supelcosil LC-8 (5 mu) (150 mm x 4.6 mm i.d.) column. The mobi
le phase was a mixture of acetonitrile (500 mL), triethylamine (1.5 mL
) and glacial acetic acid (8 mL) diluted to 1000 mL, with distilled de
ionized water. The detection was carried at 270 nn. The method was tes
ted for linearity, recovery and specificity.
