L-MYC OVEREXPRESSION AND DETECTION OF AUTOANTIBODIES AGAINST L-MYC INBOTH THE SERUM AND PLEURAL EFFUSION FROM A PATIENT WITH NONSMALL CELLLUNG-CANCER

Non-small cell lung cancer patient was found to have auto-antibodies a gainst L-Myc in both the serum and pleural effusion. The titer of anti -L-Myc antibodies was higher in the pleural effusion than in the serum , Overexpression of L-Myc without DNA amplification was observed in th e turner cells. L-Myc antigen was not detected in either the serum or the pleural effusion. Anti-nuclear antibodies were also detected in bo th the serum and pleural effusion, although this patient did not have collagen-vascular disease.
