Abstract
The nature and extent of cocaine trafficking are not well known due to a lack of quality data and specific information with known validity a nd reliability. A ten year update of my previous study of cocaine traf ficking (Montagne, 1990) indicates that the situation regarding qualit y of trafficking data has not improved, while anecdotal evidence sugge sts coca cultivation and trafficking in cocaine products has continued to increase.
