Abstract
Analysis and commentary are provided concerning an article by Getting and Webb entitled, Psychosocial Characteristics and Their Links with I nhalants: A Research Agenda, that appears in the NIDA Research Monogra ph #129, pp. 59-97. Attention is given to the elements contained in th e Getting and Webb model and emphasizes the strategies necessary to ca pture cultural influences on inhalant use behavior. Culture is best ca ptured by using ethnic identification measures. To accomplish the obje ctive, a model is provided accompanied with appropriate discussion.
