Abstract
Single crystals of Tb2Se3 could be prepared by chemical transport reac tion with AlCl3. By starting from TbSe1.9 and terbium metal black need les of Tb2Se3 in the U2S3 type structure with the space group Pnma and a = 1113,0(1) pm, b = 402,4(1) pm and c = 1095,1(3) pm were obtained.
