RENORMALIZATION OF C0 BIMODAL MAPS

We consider C0 bimodal maps of the interval. We show how topological r enormalization may be defined for maps with both zero and positive ent ropy. This has been done before, but for the case of positive entropy we use a theorem of Milnor and Thurston to give a new, highly intuitiv e definition which does not use kneading theory and avoids the technic al problems of previous approaches.
