Abstract
Presently the doubly-fed induction machine (DFIM) is increasingly used in windpower plants due to a number of advantages. An important crite rion for the design of the control concept is to maintain the decoupli ng of torque and power factor in both steady state and dynamic mode. T he paper presents a novel control concept fulfilling this requirement to a very high degree. Furthermore, the design of the appropriate cont rol algorithms is shown in coherent mathematical form.
