Abstract
The hypergeometric function of a real variable is computed for arbitra ry real parameters. The transformation theory of the hypergeometric fu nction is used to obtain rapidly convergent power series. The divergen ces that occur in the individual terms of the transformation for integ er parameters are removed using a finite difference technique. (C) 199 7 Academic Press.
