Abstract
The Heavy Ion Spectrometer System (HISS) at the LBL Bevalac provided a unique facility for measuring projectile fragmentation cross-sections important in deconvolving the Galactic Cosmic Ray (GCR) source compos ition. The general characteristics of the apparatus specific to this a pplication are described and the main features of the event reconstruc tion and analysis used in the TRANSPORT experiment are discussed.
