Abstract
Preparation of the key intermediates, 11 and 21, required for the synt hesis of (+/-)-allo-cedrol (khusiol) is reported by a novel methodolog y involving the substitution at the bridgehead position of 1-methoxybi cyclo[2.2.2]oct-5-en-2-one derivatives.
