Abstract
RNA sequences derived from the Leishmania amazonensis mini-exon and pr e-mini-exon sequences have been targeted with complementary oligonucle otides bearing a diimidazole construction mimicking active center of r ibonuclease A. The conjugates were shown to cleave the target RNAs at specific positions.
