HICAST - A NEW APPROACH TO HIGH-SPEED CASTING

Increasing the casting speed means increasing the strand productivity and therefore the plant output. The key points, for high speed casting , are a new concept for fooling the mould with a new mould design and an optimized secondary cooling, This innovative design allows to Incre ase the casting speed substantially; moreover, the mould is able to ca st a wide range of steel grades (at a wide range of casting speeds), w ithout altering other process parameters.
