Abstract
Demonstrably effective cognitive behavioral treatments for a number of clinical disorders are underutilized in clinical practice. Improving dissemination presents a challenge as Persons (1997) argues. In this c ommentary, reasons for dissemination failures, and suggestions for pro moting empirically supported treatments, are discussed.
