Abstract
A small saturated absorption signal of molecular iodine was enhanced b y placing an iodine cell inside an external cavity. Using the third de rivative signal of the enhanced saturated absorption signal, the diode laser was frequency stabilized to a hyperfine component of molecular iodine.
