Y. Todate et al., RESOLUTION CORRECTION FOR TIME-OF-FLIGHT NEUTRON-SCATTERING EXPERIMENTS USING THE MONTE-CARLO METHOD, JPN J A P 2, 36(11A), 1997, pp. 1474-1477
A new efficient method has been proposed for convolution of the neutro
n scattering cross section with instrumental resolution of the inelast
ic time-of-flight spectrometer at pulsed neutron sources. This method
has several advantages over the conventional analytical formulation of
the resolution function commonly used for the triple-axis spectromete
rs at steady reactors, not only because of its flexibility and capabil
ity for more realistic representation of the origin of the instrumenta
l broadening, but also because of its higher efficiency of computation
.
