By using LKB2277 Bioactivity Monitor, we have determined the thermogen
etic power curves of three kinds of Anaerobes: Bacteroides distasonis,
Clostridium difficile, Peptococcus niger. Thermokinetic equation, ln[
P/(P-m-P)(v+1)] = ln[P-0/(P-m-P-0)(v+1)]+k.t, was established based on
the generalized logistic equation. The rate constants (k) of cell gro
wth were obtained, and for Bacteroids distasonis, the activation prope
rties, such as activation energy, the entropy of activation, Gibbs fun
ction of activation and equilibrium constant of activation were also c
alculated. This thermokinetic equation is very suitable for cell growt
h of separated culture. It was compared with exponential and logistic
model. It is very significant for the study of bacterial limited growt
h and their characteristics.
