Abstract
In this paper a new and facile method for preparation of anhydrous lan thanide trichlorides is reported. Pure LnCl(3) . n THF were obtained i n high yields by the reaction of lanthanide oxides with chlorotrimethy lsilane and methanol in tetrahydrofuran under mild condition.
