Mathematical models of a combustion process in a closed vessel are bas
ed on a nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation. This model had been stu
died by Gelfand (see [4]) providing exact solutions in some stationnar
y particular cases. This paper deals with the control of the temperatu
re inside the vessel via the boundary condition. indeed a boundary con
dition will be built to make the temperature tend toward infinity befo
re a given finite time. The results are based opt the papers of Bebern
es and Kassoy (see [1]) and of Kassoy and Poland (see [5] and [6]) con
cerning the evolution problem with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary cond
ition. Our result can be compared with some finite-time blow-lip condi
tion given in [2].
