Abstract
P-31 and N-15 NMR spectra of 11 cyclic and non-cyclic phosphoramidates were measured. Comparison of the closely related structures demonstra ted correlation between the bond angles at nitrogen and the N-15 NMR c hemical shifts and the (1)J(P,N) coupling constants. N-15 NMR paramete rs allowed the exo- and endocyclic nitrogens to be distinguished and c ould be related to the hydrolytic stability of the P-N bonds. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
