Abstract
Recommendations are given for increasing the computation effectiveness of minimization methods when solving electrical power system steady-s tate condition problems, i.e. application of a Cartesian system of coo rdinates which reduces the complexity of computation of minimization m ethods and increases the efficiency, scaling of linkage functions for PU-type busbars and of the target function, and application of computa tion with double precision to exclude the influence of computer roundi ng errors on the convergence of the minimization methods used for comp utation.
