Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae is becoming more commonly recognized in h umans and has the potential for significant morbidity and mortality, I n this article, we describe one patient's clinical symptoms after occu pational exposure to E rhusiopathiae and its sequela, We discuss the n atural history of the organism, three major categories of human diseas e, and treatment options.
