M. Constantin et M. Pavelescu, ALGORITHMS - OPTIMAL ALGORITHM FOR COLLISION PROBABILITIES CALCULATION IN 3-D RECTANGULAR-CYLINDRICAL GEOMETRIES, Annals of nuclear energy, 24(18), 1997, pp. 1477-1489
In 3D geometry, the problems of the collision probability (CP) method
related to high memory and execution time requirements increase rapidl
y with the number of regions. The paper shows an attempt to minimise t
hese requirements at the level of probability matrix evaluation. The m
ixed method (MM) for tracking and probability calculations, and an imp
roved module of CPs contribution calculation, were developed. Finally,
the new schema has approximately 50% reduced memory and execution tim
e compared to the old version. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
