Abstract
The nonlinear model-fitting scheme is used for high-resolution radar i maging under the assumption that the objects consist of point scatters ; genetic algorithms are then applied fbr the minimization of the fitt ing error Numerical results of the method are compared with those of t he Powell method to show their superiority.
