Abstract
The multi-constraints optimal regional pole placement problem is studi ed. The constrained region is represented by several algebraic inequal ities. Necessary conditions for which the optimal solution must be sat isfied are derived. Furthermore, a solution algorithm is provided. Fin ally, an analysis of robustness with respect to structured uncertainty for continuous system is discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
