Abstract
A set of 230 igneous rock samples from Leyte and Mindanao (Philippines ) has been studied for their major and trace element chemistry, minera logy and geochronology (K-40-Ar-40 dating). Several volcanic sectors h ave been distinguished according to their geographic position, tectoni c framework and geologic history.
