Abstract
We present the theory of inclusive decays of hadrons containing a heav
y quark and discuss its most important applications to the decays of B
mesons. We also review the theoretical understanding of the hadronic
parameters lambda(1) and lambda(2) (or mu(pi)(2) and mu(G)(2)) enterin
g the heavy-quark expansion.
