Elastic scattering of Li-6 by C-12, Si-28, Ni-58, Sn-120, and Pb-208 n
uclei at various incident energies up to 100 MeV per nucleon is invest
igated by the continuum-discretized coupled-channel (CDCC) method base
d on a double-folding model of the Li-6-nucleus interaction with a rea
listic energy-and density-dependent nucleon-nucleon interaction, calle
d DDM3Y. The 6Li projectile breakup effect is found to diminish with i
ncreasing incident energies. A comparison of the present result with a
n earlier CDCC calculation, based on the cluster-folding-model interac
tion, shows a clear difference between the two for large angle scatter
ing. Possible implications of this discrepancy are discussed.
