Abstract
Tensor moments t(kq) have been determined for the Li-6(2.186 MeV, 3()) state produced in the Be-9(p,alpha(1))Li-6 reaction at 40 MeV. Angu lar correlation measurements were made between alpha(1) and the alpha- particle or deuteron fragment from the breakup of Li-6. Comparison of the t(kq) are made with the predictions of a model that includes dire ct and exchange processes. Angular distributions of the differential c ross sections for the Be-9(p,alpha)Li-6 reaction for the g.s. and firs t two excited states are presented. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
