The case of a 64-year-old man with biopsy-proven, cutaneous acral meta
stasis on two fingertips, from a breast adenocarcinoma is reported. Th
is man concomittantly suffered from a lung epidermoid carcinoma and in
sulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. We emphasize the rarity of this cas
e and the pathogenic role of repeated trauma (control of blood levels
of glucose) at the location of these metastases on the patient's finge
rtips.
