Abstract
Potentiometric sensors for potassium or sodium with internal poly(pyrr ole) contact and plastic PVC membrane comprising commercially used ion ophores were developed and investigated. The all-solid-state electrode s obtained exhibit Nernstian responses and stability superior over the coated wire electrodes. In the case of both electrodes, selectivity c oefficients are slightly better compared to those of internal solution electrodes. The dependence of selectivity on the contacting layer ion -exchange properties was observed. The all-solid-state electrodes obta ined were successfully applied in standard serum analysis.
