Microcuttings of two almond genotypes (cultivar Supernova and rootstoc
k M51, selection of I.S.F of Rome) treated with darkness (12 days) and
two auxins, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and indole-3-butyric acid (IBA
), produced rooting in vitro. Supernova showed less rooting ability th
an Sel.M51 and rooted only in the treatment IBA + darkness. Sel.M51 ro
oted in all treatments and showed the best result with IAA + light.
