Abstract
Surprisingly low friction losses can be realized in plain bearings lub ricated with different 4-(trans-4-alkylcyclohexyl)-alkylbenzene Possib le reasons for this behavior at temperatures far above the regime of o rdered fluid phases are discussed. Limitations of application are outl ined.
