Abstract
The geometrical two-chain model of soft hadronic interactions is devel oped to describe the main characteristics of low-energy hadronic inter actions. It is a compound of the geometrical interaction picture based on the impact parameter eikonal formalism and the parton concept of h adrons as composite objects. In this paper the foundations of the mode l are described and the results on the multiplicity characteristics ar e presented and discussed.
